New Delhi : Shri Ved Parkash Dudeja, Vice Chairman, Rail Land Development Authority has been conferred with the coveted ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at Realty+ E- Conclave & Excellence Awards- 2020. Shri. Dudeja is presently serving as the Vice Chairman of Rail Land Development Authority. RLDA is a statutory Authority under the Ministry of Railways mandated with development of vacant Railway Land for commercial use and creating assets for Indian Railways. RLDA is currently working on Commercial Projects, Multifunctional Complex, Colony redevelopment and Station redevelopment projects for the Ministry of Railways. Under the able leadership of Mr. Dudeja, RLDA has shattered all previous records of earnings as well as those of awarding of lease contracts in 2019-20. RLDA has awarded tenders for long lease of land parcels worth Rs 1553 crores during the year and has reported earnings of Rs. 933 Crore in Financial Year 2019-20.

An alumnus of the renowned Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, he excelled in academics since childhood and aced the coveted Engineering Services Examination in the first attempt. In his illustrious career spanning 32 years, Mr Dudeja has spearheaded several path-breaking innovations that shaped the Indian Railways’ growth trajectory and had a revolutionizing impact on India’s developmental story. He has been associated with commissioning of many important railway infrastructure projects in Assam, Bengal, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi. Working as Executive Director in Railway Board, he played a key role in planning, monitoring and coordinating railway network expansion programme in the country for over five years, resulting in commissioning of some of the most crucial projects, including complete elimination of metre gauge track in the North Eastern Region, thereby providing seamless connectivity to remotest parts of the country. In his current role, Mr Dudeja is not only contributing towards the business growth of Indian Railways but also leading its goal of ushering economic progress through infrastructural development.

Mr. Dudeja has also been conferred “Vishishtha Seva Praman Patra” by Hon’ble Minister of Railways for his exemplary contribution to Indian Railways.
