DUXBURY, MA and MARSHFIELD:VERC Enterprises (http://vercenterprises.com), a leading convenience store and Mobil/Gulf/Irving/Shell gasoline operator with locations throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire, will bring a unique Halloween celebration this year, with a “Haunted Carwash” on October 29 and 30 at their Marshfield location.

If you drive through the Briteway Car Wash at 535 Plain Street (Route 139) anytime between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on those days, you’ll get to drive through a COVID-safe carwash. But beyond that, you might have the chance to see some menacing looking pirates and other characters inside and approaching the car wash!

It’s all in fun of course, says Nick Vercollone, Director of Operations for VERC’s Briteway Car Wash. He said, “You’ll see costumes, props and a full Halloween atmosphere. Drivers will see pirates, witches, and costumed characters as they approach the car wash, and there may be a few surprises inside the wash as well.”

It’s all part of an effort to raise funds for the Marshfield Boys and Girls Club’s “Rally For The Future” Campaign.  This campaign will help the Boys and Girls club continue to be the essential community resource it has always been. VERC and Briteway did this last year and raised $5000. He added, “And that was in the rain, but people still came out. We all had a lot of fun doing it.”

Volunteers from the Boys and Girls Club will be on hand for the event too, and drivers are encouraged to wear their own costumes! Expect to see a pirate theme throughout the two days. The cost of the car wash is $20 and it goes to a good cause – supporting the Boys and Girls Club and helping them raise funds and awareness.

In addition to helping the Club, participants will have their vehicles washed, waxed, and treatment to the vehicle’s wheels and undercarriage.  “Please come out and support this worthwhile cause, and celebrate Halloween in a safe and fun way,” he said.
