PLYMOUTH and DUXBURY: VERC Enterprises (http://vercenterprises.com) is pitching in to help feed the healthcare workers at Plymouth’s Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, to support the efforts of the frontline healthcare workers.

Leo Vercollone, CEO of VERC Enterprises, said that their Mayflower Provisions store, located at 164 South Street (near the Exit 5 interchange off Route 3) will package and deliver 50 assorted sandwiches with chips and cookies, including some gluten free and vegetarian options, to the workers at the hospital at noontime on Friday, April 10.

“Every day we all hear how much our front line workers – the doctors, nurses and other medical professional – do to protect us all,” Vercollone said. He added, “We’re pleased to be able to help out and say thank you to the men and women who are doing so much on our behalf.”

He added, “We’re also pleased to see others in our communities stepping up to help out; it’s important for us to stick together and do what we can to get through these challenging times together.”

Mayflower Provisions, formerly known as Mayflower Food and Spirits, has been a mainstay of the community for more than 40 years. VERC Enterprises re-branded the store to Mayflower Provisions in 2017 following their acquisition of the business. Mayflower Provisions serves fresh hot meals, sandwiches, baked goods and produce, and a butcher shop.
