  • Veteran Tribal leader an ex MP Charan Narzary hospitalised

    Kokrajhar : Veteran Tribal leader and ex-Member of Parliament (MP) Charan Narzary was hospitalised at KokrajharRupnath Brahma Civil hospital with a fractured leg after falling off in the bathroom today at his Mwiderkhoro residence in Kokrajhar town . He is in his 80s.

    The medical reports suggest a fractured bones and serious injury in legs. His well wishers, including former Rajya Sabha MP and Sahitya Akademi awardee Urkhao Gwra Brahma, ABSU leaders, members from Kokrajhar Press Club throng at the Hospital to ensure his well being.

    A writer and founder General Secretary of Plains Tribals Council of Assam (PTCA), Narzary become a  Member of Legislative Assembly election in 1972 before becoming Member of Parliament. Apart from being politician and an educationist, he is famous writer. His book, Dream for Udayachal-History of Plains Tribals Council of Assam is widely acclaimed one. He was also the editor of Journals like The Bodo and Alari.
