    Drenched in the diverse colours of literature, culture and arts, Vishwarang presents its third edition to spread the message of peace and unity across the world. Annual arts and cultural event of Rabindranath Tagore University, the fest will be held from 25th-28th November with its creative grandeur and dignity in Bhopal, the capital city in the heart of India. Union Minister Mr Prahlad Patel will inaugurate the cultural festival on the evening of November 25, 2021, i.e. Thursday and with this, various sessions will kick start. Interestingly, this time Vishwarang is being organised in 26 other countries of the world with India at the forefront.

    During the four day festival, the cultural and art fest evening will have power-pack music and dance performances coupled with an International Mushaira, by talented artists. Children can participate in several activities which include- the screening of children’s film, puppet show, mask making, photography workshop, kite flying, glider making, painting, theatrical workshop etc. More than fifty thousand children and youth are expected to take part in this fest across 4 states in Central India.

    In this mega event of Vishwarang 2021, Madhya Pradesh Cabinet ministers Mr Kamal Patel, Mr Vishwas Sarang and Ms. Usha Thakur will be present as guests. The event will commence with the inauguration of the Tagore National School of Drama.

    Present at the press conference inaugurating the festival, Director of Vishwarang and Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University – Santosh Choubey and Co-Director Ms Aditi Vats spoke about the past festival and expectations from the third leg. They added that more than 30 countries from across the world are taking inspiration from the goal of cultural harmony. The human nature of the Indian language and culture has been heard and resonates all over the world, and Vishwarang 2021 focuses on new generation cultural trends and creativity.

    Apart from the live cultural performances on the open-air stage, several activities will be broadcast on the virtual platform of Vishwarang.

    Children’s favourite movies and talk shows

    For the children taking part in ‘Vishwarang’ several popular children’s movies, those selected for national-international awards will be screened from 26th to 28th November. Prominent children’s filmmakers like Paakhi A Tyrewala, Sanjay Chauhan, Narayan Parshruman, Amol Gupte and Saumitra Ranade will interact with art critic Vinay Upadhyay and young filmmaker Sudeep Sohni on issues related to cinema production in the afternoon sessions.

    Music and dance performances, International Mushaira will leave the audience awe-struck

    The evenings of Vishwarang-2021 will be charmed by a series of enthralling dance and musical performances. On the evening of November 25, the distinguished Tanushree Shankar’s Ballet Troupe will give a colourful dance presentation at the open stage on the university campus. Following this, the enchanting musical performance by maestro Ustad Rashid Khan will add to the festivities.

    An International Mushaira scheduled for the evening of November 26 has acclaimed poets and Shayars like Shakeel Azmi, Khushbeer Singh Shad, Farhat Shahzad, Rajesh Reddy, Deepti Mishra, Nusrat Mehdi, Parveen Kaif, Alok Srivastava, Badr Vasti and other artists will present their pieces. The performance of The Twin Strings Band on November 27; of Mame Khan Group and Kathak dancer Kshama Malviya will ensure a full packed entertainment in the fest on the evening of November 28.
