A new era in the growing relationship between Malaysia and India  has been marked as Mumbai celebrated the launch of ‘Visit Malaysia

Year Bollywood Music Album ‘Tum Mile’, a first ever Indo-Malaysian music album dedicated to promoting tourism, sung by Her Royal Highness the Toh Puan Bendahara of Kedah, TohPuan Noor Suzanna Abdullah, member of the royal family of Kedah, Malaysia and renowned Indian Bollywood playback singer Kumar Sanu. The overwhelming response received from the media and the distinguished guests, invited personally by Tourism Malaysia, was a true showcase of the ever growing popularity of Malaysia within the Indian audiences.

Over 70 media members from India were welcomed by Dato Seri Dr. Ng Yen Yen, Chairman of Tourism Malaysia, who through her captivating speech and informative tourism insights arrested the Interest of the Indian Media. Empowered by information on VMY 2014, the media witnessed unveiling of the VMY 2014Tourism ‘Tum Mile’Bollywood Album by Her Royal Highness TohPuan Noor Suzanna Abdullah. Enchanted by the melodious voice of Her Royal Highness, the afternoon with the Indian press ended on a high note.

The evening event at the Ballroom of Hotel TajMahal,saw an attendance of over 200 very distinguished guests, including head honchos of Indian Media houses, Top Tours operators from India, Celebrities and socialites. In a conventional Sit-down-dinner setup, the venue which exuded Royalty and Malaysian Hospitality was all set to welcome the distinguished guests.

Amidst a fanfare of traditional Malay escort, Royal Highness launched the VMY 2014 Tourism ‘Tum Mile’Bollywood Album, transforming the evening into a night of musical extravaganza. Guests witnessed the melodies of ‘Tum Mile’ accompanied by live performance from Her Royal Highness TohPuan Noor Suzanna Abdullah and Kumar Sanu. The musical evening was complimented with some traditional Malay dance performances, adding the element of Malaysian culture to the celebration. As the guest swayed to the tunes of “Tum Mile”, Dato Seri Dr. Ng Yen Yen once again captivated the attention of the audience through the display of Malaysia’s tourism prowess and the initiatives from the Ministry to promote tourism as an asset to the country.

Celebration being the theme of the evening, the Indian Media too enjoyed some mouthful bytes through exclusive one on one interactions with her Royal Highness TohPuan Noor Suzanna Abdullah, Kumar Sanu, Dato Seri Dr. Ng Yen Yen, Bollywood Stars PoojaBatra, VidyaMalavde, DeeptiBhatnagar, Rahul Roy, Indian Cricketing Sensation Mohammed Azharuddin and Veteran broadcaster AmeenSayani.

As Mumbai swung to the tunes of Visit Malaysia Year 2014, the entire Tourism Malaysia, India team, spearheaded by the enthusiasm of Dato Seri Dr. Ng Yen Yen, took centre stage for a note of thanks to the guests for the evening. Complimented by the lovely voice of Her Royal Highness, the Tourism Malaysia team sung in chorus and swayed to the tunes of the Visit Malaysia Theme Song In before calling it a night.
