New Delhi: In West Bengal, two persons were killed this morning in an explosion at Ahmedpur, Khairasol in Birbhum district. The explosion occurred at the house of a Trinamool Congress Panchayat member and both the dead were his brothers, Police sources informed .

One person was injured in the incident and a large portion of the Panchayat member’s house collapsed by the sheer impact of the blast, the sources added. Police Officials led by SP Mukesh Kumar and combat force rushed to the spot to conduct rescue and investigation.

The locals alleged that a huge stock of explosives was kept in the house and that might have exploded accident. The Police sources said that occupants of the house must have been making crude bombs when the blast occurred.
