West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote a letter to Governor JdGIt Dhankhar claiming that her visit to Behar district affected by post-poll violence and visit to Agomani area of Assam violates rules while Dhankhar retorted saying he was discharging his duties under the Constitution. The Assam government has helped everyone after the West Bengal violence.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had claimed that about 1000 BJP workers along with their families have come to Assam due to violence in Bengal. He said the Assam government has made shelter homes and food arrangements for people migrating from Bengal. The Governor of West Bengal has thanked the Government of Assam.
