The Weymouth Chamber of Commerce has announced that George Berg of Raymond Design Inc. has been named as the new Chair and Tim Lynch of Mass General Brigham has joined the Board.

Berg and his wife Linda are life-long residents of Weymouth. He is  a registered architect with Raymond Design Inc. (RDA) who specializes in K-12 Educational, Healthcare & Research Facility planning and design. He is a founding member of the Weymouth Chamber of Commerce which is an affiliate of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce.

In addition Berg is a current member of the Weymouth Construction Advisory Committee, the past Chair of the Weymouth Redevelopment Authority, a former member of the Weymouth Planning Board, a former alternate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, a Tufts Library Construction Committee Member, MBTA Mitigation Committee and a former member of the Weymouth Sports Council. Berg is also the current President of the Board of Directors for the Adams Montessori School in Quincy, MA, a school he designed several years ago.

“Smart growth and thoughtful planning are strong personal and professional interests for not only the Town of Weymouth but also for its role within the context of the South Shore Region,” said Berg. “I look forward to serving as Chair and working alongside the South Shore Chamber of Commerce to achieve our shared goals.”
