WHO-Mental Health Awareness Week, 10th October 2022

For nearly two years, as the Covid pandemic disrupted life around the globe, most professionals had adopted work from home or remote models. Now, as the world rapidly dismantles the measures put in place to slow the spread of Covid, employees are facing a dual challenge while returning to offices- the rise of mental stress & chronic diseases. Ischemic heart disease, initial stroke event, hypertension, type-II diabetes, COPD, BP, obesity & smoking prevalence have all increased resulting in rising non-communicable diseases. While the pandemic is ending the world expected to develop herd immunity, coupled with effective treatments. But in reality, we have to depend on the Govt initiatives and look for safe treatments.
