  • Widex opens its exclusive “Senso Hearing Centre” in Basaveshvarnagar, Bengaluru

    Bengaluru:  Moving a step further to develop a world class integrated hearing care delivery system in Karnatka, Widex India opens its 7th Senso Hearing Centre to improve standards of dispensing and service for the hearing impaired. Padamshree Syed kirmani, former Test Cricketer, Today inaugurated Basaveshvarnagar Senso Hearing Centre, Bengaluru. Apart from various renowned doctors and audiologists from Bengaluru, also present ont he occasion were; Mr T S Anand, Managing director Widex India.

    The number of Senso Hearing centres has swelled to 32, making one of the largest chains of hearing care clinics in Asia. All these centres are equipped with the world’s best diagnostic equipment from interacoustics and NOAH LINKED TECHNOLOGY, which are as per international standards.

    Deafness, which refers to partial or complete loss of hearing, is one of the most common congenital disabilities in the world. As reported by World Health Organisation recently, there are about 250 to 300 million people deaf in the world, 2/3 of which live in underdeveloped countries, with India having the largest share. One out of every 12 persons in India suffers from hearing loss.

    With the government of India giving due importance to the problem, the Ministry of Health has launched a project to focus on the prevention and early diagonosis of deafness along with the treatment of ear, infections and other diseases that cause hearing loss.     Mr Anand Said that since most audiologists migrate from the country seeking better job oppurtunities, these centres would held to create better job oppurtunities preventing them from looking for jobs abroad.
