The India Pen Show, presented by William Penn, was a one-of-a-kind event at the Nehru Centre, Mumbai. India’s first-ever international fountain pens focused show, paid tribute to Kaifi Azmi Saheb, the renowned Urdu poet-lyricist and avid fountain pen enthusiast on his birth centenary. The two day event, an interesting combo of trade fair, hobby convention and market place for pen lovers attracted droves of enthusiasts, families, collectors and connoisseurs.

We showcased our renowned international premium and luxury brands, to the delight of pen-lovers of all ages!” said Nikhil Ranjan, Managing Director, William Penn, in the presence of the Chief Guest, Shabana Azmi. Added Shabana: “My father only wrote with premium Fountain pens, of which he had a big collection. He would take them out, lovingly admire them, write with them and then lock them up! Looking at this collection reminds me of him”
The limited edition elegant Kaifi Azmi Pen, launched at the event, is a tribute to an avid and true fountain pen lover, who personified elegance in his thoughts and lifestyle. Crafted from high quality Italian resin in a rich cocoa colour, the barrel has a ring with the Kaifi logo and TIPS logo. The solid gold nib also bears the Kaifi logo. These pens were presented to Ustad Zakir Hussain, Javed Akhtar, Anuradha Parikh, Pritish Nandy, Shyam Benegal and Mahesh Bhatt among others at the festival.
