With Strict Covid-19 Protocol;Apollo Spectra Hospital, Delhi Starts OPD And IPD

Delhi With coronavirus numbers increasing by the day, social distancing and good personal & social hygiene is the only way to stop the spread of the pandemic. Apollo Spectra Hospitals in Delhi is taking all the necessary precaution and running its OP and IP services with rigid safety protocols for infection prevention.

 

Patients need to answer questions before fixing an appointment with a doctor. Diagnostic testing will be required prior to undergoing a procedure for the safety of other patients and the hospital personal.

 

Dr Navneet Kaur, General Physician Apollo Spectra Hospital said “Patients suffering from diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease etc. are at a higher risk of COVID-19 infection. Such patient should stay indoors, maintain social distancing, eat healthy, hydrate and follow basic hygiene protocol.”

 

Dr Anil Raheja, Orthopedic Surgeon,Apollo Spectra Hospitalhighlighted, “Each and every protocol associated with quality is followed by the hospital. The entire hospital has been sanitized for the safety of the patients. Triple Screening for everyone at the entrance is done it includes temperature checks with thermal guns & sanitizing. Strict IPC (Infection Prevention Control) is followed. Cohorting of patients and staff is being done to ensure that any untowardincident can be contained and all exposed individual can be easily traced. The staff follows the World Health Organization (WHO) and The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR ‘s) protocols as promulgated by the government Health authorities” .

 

Things to remember while visiting hospitals:

1.      Fill in the self-assessment COVID checklist at the entrance

2.      Use of a digital mode of payment

3.      Arrive on time for your scheduled appointment

4.      Entry for a patient only, if necessary only one family member allowed per patient

5.      Keep personal belongings like bags etc in your vehicle/ waiting room and carry your mask & pen

6.      Maintain social distancing. OPD patients to avoid using common washrooms

7.      Avoid high touching areas like stair handles, lift buttons, etc

8.      Diagnostic reports will be published online

9.      Please be transparent about your details for ensuring better care and safety

 

Physical distancing of minimum 3-feet distance, sanitizing hands frequently, wiping patient’s files/cards, etc before and after handing them over is ensured. Housekeeping team and nurses wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s), frequently touched areas (like chairs, door handles, knobs, tables, etc) are sanitized frequently. The food and beverages team ensures proper kitchen hygiene and sanitization. Bio-Medical Waste is collected in allocated disposable bags and discarded, and deep cleaning with scrubbing is also done.
