  • Mumbai: 50 students of mass media from Mumbai colleges attended MassFest ’10, the first of a series of workshops organized by WLCI (Mumbai) to celebrate 10 years of their presence in Mumbai.

    MassFest ’10 was conducted by the faculty of WLCI Mumbai. The Industry-Mentor for the day was Mr. Himanshu Lakhwani , an alumnus of WLCI and London School of Printing, winner of various prestigious awards such as the British Council award for Design, among others, and currently Art Director, Conde Nast India Pvt. Ltd.

    The students formed groups named after well-known advertising agencies and were made to experience a typical working day in an Advertising Agency, from ‘Pitching’ to Product Launch. The students participated with great enthusiasm, with minimal breaks for snacks and lunch. The faculty members of WLCI, Mumbai guided the students throughout the day with their valuable inputs.

    Students competed for the Best Campaign, Best Media Innovation and Best Presentation awards with interesting demonstrations.

    The objective of the workshop was achieved successfully, as students expressed that the workshop added value to their knowledge, honed their skills and mapped their attitude, as per WLCI’s mission statement. The day ended on a cheery note, with students being presented with awards and participation certificates.
