  • Won’t allow revival of militancy in Jammu including Kishtwar: Lt Gen Paramjit Singh

    General Officer Commanding 16 Corps, Lt Gen Paramjit Singh has said that the Army is committed to ensuring that terrorism is not revived in Jammu region including Kishtwar district, where terrorists recently killed four persons including two BJP and RSS leaders.

    He was talking to media persons on the sidelines of ‘Rajouri Day’ celebrations in the border district yesterday.

    Lt Gen Paramjit Singh said the leadership of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit was eliminated in Kashmir valley post-India’s pre-emptive air strike on a JeM terror camp in Balakote on February 26. He said as many as 513 ceasefire violations by Pakistan have taken place along the LoC during the last one-and-a-half months. He added that the Pakistan Army suffered more casualties than the Indian Army in the retaliatory action.
