  • Woogie Boogie by Brush Theatre, South Korea delighted Hyderabadi audience with their spellbound performance

    Hyderabad: WOOGIE BOOGIE- a culturally enriching heartwarming performance held by Brush Theatre from South Korea here in the city at Glendale Academy International on Tuesday night.

    The Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hyderabad, in association with InKo Centre and Glendale Academy brought this unique theatrical production infused with painting and comedy to Hyderabad at Glendale Academy International

    Mr. Suresh Chukkapalli, the Honorary Consul General of Hyderabad graced the occasion.

    Two friends are about to embark on a sea adventure with their turtle friend.  As the two played with each other, the whiteboard behind them came alive with the various creatures they encounter on their journey, appearing and disappearing, almost by magic.

    Woogie Boogie, is a production by the South Korea-based theatre group called Brush, supported by InKo Centre India and Korea Arts Management Service.

    The production makes use of hand drawings and projections to bring doodles to life, an idea that stemmed from a childhood joy of scribbling in a sketchbook.

    Targeted at 3 years plus kids and families with young children, the 50 minutes show was directed by Yeom Yonggyun, Acted by Yeom Yonggyun, and Lee Seungeun. Son Eunjae provided music support. It was a four city performance.  It held in Chennai on July 11th and 12th, Guntur on 14th July. It will be held on Bangalore on 18th July.
