  • Workshop on Bodo traditional dance and music

    Kokrajhar : The 15-days long workshop on Bodo traditional dance, music  being organised at Bodoland University in Kokrajhar concluded on Sunday

    Organised by Dularai Bodo Harimu Afad (DBHA), over 150 participants from different 18 districts of the state participated in the workshop .

    Noted writer and social activistArun Kumar Borgoyary lighted the lamp to inaugurate the closing ceremony on the occasion. Sahitya Akademi awardee Dr Mangalsingh Hazoary, Principal of Kokrajhar Girls College Dr Rupam Kumar Brahma, president of Dularai Boro Harimu Afad Arun Narzary, music director Rahendra Nath Brahma,dance director Barlangafa Narzary, Dhananjay Borgoyary, noted singer Chakradhar Narzary were prominent attendees on the occasion.

    The 15 days workshop discussed on various aspects of traditional Bodo folk, music and dance with traditional Bodo music instruments like Khan, siding, seems, jabshring etc.

    The workshop aims to short out syllabus procedure to paving the way for textbook production for academic curriculum in schools and colleges.
