Today is World Cancer Day. This year, the theme is ‘Teaching children and teenagers to avoid UV exposure by being sun smart’. The World Health Organisation estimates that 84 million people will die of cancer between 2005 and 2015 without adequate treatment. We spoke to the Chief of the Cancer centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr. G.K. Rath on the enormity of the issue in India.
