World of Warships Introduces Indian Navy Ship: INS Mysore

Bangalore: Wargaming, the award-winning online game developer and publisher specialising in war-based free-to-play titles, has announced the inclusion of the legendary INS Mysore, the first ever Indian Naval ship in it’s award winning game, World of Warships.

INS Mysore was a Fiji-class cruiser commissioned to the Indian Navy in 1957. She was acquired from the Royal Navy, where she served in World War II as HMS Nigeria. INS Mysore was the second cruiser to be purchased by independent India. She served as the flagship for the western fleet during its service and was also the command ship for the raid on Karachi Harbor in 1971.

The Indian ship is expected to be the exact replica of real-life INS Mysore. The game has been tailored exclusively for the Indian market, also includes the historic Indian content and many other USP like localized Pricing for Indian Players, tri color themed Camouflage and now an Indian Naval ship.

Since its launch in 2015, World of Warships has added over 38 million registered players on the back of its focus on history, military, and engineering enthusiasts, making it one of the most successful games in this genre on the planet.

Speaking on the launch of INS Mysore, Mr.Rajeev Girdhar, European Publishing Director for World of Warships and India Operations Lead,  said, “We are thrilled to finally introduce the INS Mysore for our players in India and across the world.
