  • Young culinary professionals awarded by Association of Hospitality Professionals

    Team AHP with the winners of “5th YOUNG CHEF’S CHALLENGE 2015”New Delhi : Association of Hospitality Professionals hosted the “5th YOUNG CHEF’S CHALLENGE 2015” award ceremony at The Hans Hotel, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi. The award ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Sh. R. K. Okhandiar, Director (Commercial & Marketing) ITDC & renowned names from the hospitality fraternity. The participants who showcased their live culinary skills at the 3-day challenge were honored with the awards.

    The young culinary professionals from top-notch hotels demonstrated their skills, knowledge and innovation under one roof. “YOUNG CHEF’S CHALLENGE 2015” awards were presented in 6 different categories and the chefs who won the awards included Chef Pranab Nayek of Old World Hospitality (INTERNATIONAL CUISINE), Chef Zaheer Alam, The Lalit (NORTH INDIAN), Chef Radha Krishna, Country Inn & Suites, Sahibabad (KEBABS), Chef Sanjeev Kashyap, Old World Hospitality (CONFECTIONERY), Chef Kuldeep Singh, Country Inn & Suites, Sahibabad (KITCHEN ARTIST), See Pee Singh, Country Inn & Suites, Sahibabad (HALWAI).

    Sh. R K Okhandiar, Director (Commercial & Marketing) ITDC said: I am honored to be associated with Young Chef Challenge 2015 where the chefs in culinary arts space are given recognition for their palates. There is a demand of skilled chefs with the advancement of gastronomy. Being a chef is indeed a dream profession for many but at the same time it’s a challenging, round-the-clock job.

    Mr. Sireesh Saxena, Joint Secretary, AHP said “The prime objective of the YOUNG CHEF CHALLENGE is to establish a professional platform for culinary professionals from the hotels and restaurants to display their skills, creative talent and share experiences in a competitive environment. We, at AHP are delighted to receive an overwhelming response from the talent in the industry. The innovation and the efforts put in by the participants have been remarkable and exemplary.”

    Association of Hospitality Professionals is a non-profit organization, registered under society registration act, 1860 with the aim to secure a due place for the hospitality industry and its professionals, project the role of Hospitality Industry as a contributor to employment generation and sustainable economic & social development; highlight its crucial role in the service to tourism industry; help raise the standards of hospitality and to build an image for this industry. The members include Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, Airlines, their employees, the future hospitality aspirants in the country and all across the world. AHP also welcomes affiliate members, individuals, hotels and restaurants, whether independent or chain. AHP also includes allied members such as suppliers to the industry, Hospitality Trainers, Consultants, and complementary hospitality and travel and tourism associations.
