Noida; It was a pleasant Sunday morning, with Yoga, Dance, Masti and lots of fun. Amongst the celebrations of the Father’s Day, International Yoga Day and World Music Day, Noida people celebrated the ‘Raahgiri Day’, which was celebrated for the first time in Noida.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with over forty thousand people performed various Yoga asanas at Delhi’s Rajpath today, the same time, thousands of participants became part of vehicle free “Raahgiri” event, which took place in Noida Sector 18 Main Road, opposite the Great India Place (TGIP) Mall.

People from all age groups attended the programmes, including group Yoga session, dance, music, aerobics, street plays, zumba, brain gym, open gym, cycling and several physical and mental exercises. One of the participants at maiden Raahgiri was Young Guitarist Puneet Kalra, who entertained people with a live session of acoustic Guitar. Puneet’s performance included songs like Gulabi Aankhein Jo Teri Dekhi.., Paani Da Rang Dekh Ke.., Saadi Gali Aaja.., and Duma Dum Mast Kalandar.

Giving the message of “Save Girl Child” and “Safe Environment”, Samachar Plus, as media partner in Raahgiri, played a responsible role in the event. It successfully organised the programmes and alerted public towards health and social issues.

Planned on the pattern ‘Delhi Raahgiri’, ‘Raahgiri Noida’ will now be organised every Sunday.

It was indeed a great moment for Puneet, as he became the part of maiden Raahgiri and his performance was well received by the crowd.
