Bangalore : In a year when more than 13 million hours of video was uploaded to YouTube globally, viewers across India were captivated by millions of entertaining videos on YouTube India. The list of most-watched videos on YouTube India in 2010,showcases how Indian users logged on to YouTube to get their daily dose of entertainment watching inspirational to latest bollywood music videos to older classic from the 1980s to news videos. In 2010, Nick Vijicic (preacher and motivational speaker who was born without arms or legs due to a rare disorder known as Tetra-amelia.) emerged as the most watched video on YouTube India with 15,375,254 views.
Bollywood music videos ruled the charts on YouTube in India with title song from the Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee starrer ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ taking the #2 slot with over 4.5 million views. The #3 slot has been taken by the song ‘Tere Liye’, one of the most popular Bollywood songs of the year by Pakistani Singer Atif Aslam, featuring actor Vivek Oberoi.
“The most-watched YouTube videos of 2010 reflect the people, their choices and reflects how YouTube in India is becoming the leading destination for catching entertaining content online.Globally “YouTube has become the world’s town square – a place where culture is created and shared. In India, YouTube is growing as an extremely important platform for content distribution with all content producers adopting the platform to catch audiences online.” said, Vinay Goel,Head of Products Google India.

4. Mausam Bada Suhana Hai Achcha Jee Iska (Andar Baahar)

8. Goodbye to the King of Pop
9. Saif and kareena in ‘Kurbaan’
10. Tu Jaane Na (Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani)
In addition to compiling the YouTube most watched lists, YouTube India also examined the billions of queries that people typed into YouTube search in 2010 to identify some of the fastest-rising search terms for each month. The most-searched for queries on YouTube India during the year show what was on our collective minds as 2010 played out. Like Google Zeitgeist,these lists reveal the interests, issues, and entertainment that connected us – remember these moments?
