The entire team of Kesari worked for hours in the scorching heat and windy days, all to get the emotion right. We all were so driven and inspired by the event that every individual on the set was equally passionate about Kesari. I’m grateful that I got to be a part of this timeless project and I’m very excited to share Kesari with the audience on Zee Anmol Cinema on 27th September.”

Based on a real historic event, Kesari takes you back to the year 1897 where 21 soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment fought against a humungous fleet of 10,000 Afghani invaders in Tirah region of North West Frontier province. Led by Havildar Ishar Singh (Akshay Kumar), this atomic task force of 21 soldiers proved to be the strongest opposition the Afghans ever faced. The soldiers chose to stand up for what they believed in – never quit, never stop. Even though they lost the battle, their efforts helped them win the war.
