Hyderabad: “Most Influential Leader in Packaging Industry Recognition” accorded to Chakravarthi AVPS, a city’s industrialist and packaging professional.
“National Congress and Awards for Sustainable Exports and Packaging”, held in Mumbai recently conferred this recognition on him.
Mr Chakrvarthi who is Global Ambassador of 51 years old World Packaging Organization, a non-governmental, international federation of national packaging institutes and associations, was chosen for the award in recognition to his outstanding contribution to the industry and his unstinted role in promoting packaging as a respectful and 
responsible profession. The board of jury unanimously chose Chakaravarthi for his yeoman service to the chosen field. Mr Chakravarthi one of the few Hyderabad based Packaging professional with global recognition He has three and a half decades of experience in paper, printing and packaging fields.
Mr Chakravarthi, a knowledge powerhouse of Packaging World, is an invited speaker at many national and international industry events, forums and discussion groups. He is on the advisory board industry-related summits, congresses and forums consist of senior professionals from the industry,
He published articles in various magazines, journals, spoke on various international platforms in around 25 countries. He mentored and chaired many programmes benefiting the industry. Chakravarthi is invited to be the Jury for various National & International awards.
AVPs, as he is known in the industry also served Chairman of Indian Institute of Packaging, Hyderabad, a local chapter the national apex body set up by the Packaging and Allied Industries and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. He was instrumental in getting the postgraduate course packaging.
Accepting the honour bestowed on him, Chakravarthi, the CEO and MD of Hyderabad Ecobliss India, a part of Ecobliss Group, a global leader in innovative packaging solutions, stated that there have been many more senior persons working towards this cause and he is just a packaging passionate and keeps promoting ‘better quality of life thro better packaging for more people’, the WPO (World Packaging Organisation’s) mission.
He is also President of INBA H, an Indo Netherlands Business Association and an Honorary Adviser for Pharmexcil, the Pharmaceutical Export Council of India.
Appropriate packaging facilitates, availability of safe hygienic goods and prevent them by getting damaged throughout their life cycle is essential. In fact packaging with adequate design reduces the environmental impacts of goods transport to a large extent. Proper packaging awareness and education is the need of the hour and I try to do my bit”, he added.
