- Ex Torrot CEO Ivan Contreras joins eBikeGo’s leadership team to expand international business
eBikeGo, India’s leading electric two-wheeler mobility platformis now going international through its fully owned subsidiary in Europe (eBikeGo EU) with the appointment of the Spanish director and renowned entrepreneur, Ivan Contreras as the CEO to lead international expansion. This companywould be engaged ininternational sales of Muvi & Velocipedo. With Muvi being manufactured in India, eBikeGo EU becomes a key entity for Muvi sales and expansion. With his proven vigor and industry expertise, Ivan Contreras will be coordinating the international expansion strategy.
eBikeGo has recently closed a financing round of $5 Mn through Indian &internationalinvestors. With this capital inflow, the company to ensure effective execution of its business plan, within which internationalization is a fundamental factor. Founded in 2018, currently eBikeGo leads the Indian sustainable mobility market with its dependable range of electric vehicles, deeming itself as the first company to integrate an intelligent EV ecosystem optimizing vehicle fleet management.
Ivan Contreras’s proven international experience in the industrial, technical, and electric mobility sectors has been decisive in his election for this strategic position at eBikeGo. In addition to his experience as the Founder and CEO of Carbures USA, he is also the mind behind the legendary Torrot brand, creating a portfolio of electric mobility products. Through Torrot, he made deliveries of more than 10 thousand units across 9 countries, increasing his turnover from 1 Mn to 40 MnEuros in the first four years.
Ivan Contreras would be enriching the board with his profound knowledge and real world experience of aerospace, automotive, transportation, new materials, mobility services, EV devices, IoT devices, Augmented Reality and other evolving fields. Ivan is familiar with markets such as USA, Spain, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, and Portugal where he has successfully launched innovative businesses.
Ivan has previously contributed toone of the most experienced company in carbon fiber production for aerospace and Automotive market (Carbures). He also founded Muving which is Spain’s largest shared mobility platform with 300,000 users, 3,000 units strong Muvi fleet and has been active across 7 cities in Spain in justa span of 2 years. This was also expanded to Atlanta, GA.
