In a decisive move to eradicate the dowry system and advance social reform, Satlok Ashram launched a large community feast attended by thousands for its Divya Dharam Yagy Divas. The event spotlighted opposition to dowry and encouraged society to adopt equality, simplicity, and humanitarian principles. This gathering launched a significant reform movement across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, and Maharashtra.
The event started with a soulful Guru Puja performed by devotees with deep devotion. Following the prayers, Satlok Ashram organised a massive bhandara, where prasad was served to devotees and visitors. Participants expressed that the spiritual atmosphere brought a profound sense of peace and unity.
As part of the Ashram’s commitment to service and social upliftment, it conducted an extensive blood donation camp and a large-scale cleanliness drive. Thousands of youth volunteers from the ashram participated in the drive. The campaign aimed to motivate society—especially the younger generation—towards humanitarian activities, national harmony, and community welfare.
Continuing its mission to eradicate dowry, Satlok Ashram hosted a mass dowry-free wedding ceremony. 177 couples got married without any exchange of money or dowry, following simple and dignified rituals. The Ashram emphasises that dowry-free weddings not only ease financial burdens but also set an example for a progressive, equality-driven society. The management believes this initiative will further strengthen the movement against dowry and inspire countless families to adopt the practice.

A spokesperson for Satlok Ashram said, “Our aim is to build a society free from social evils, and dowry is one of the most pressing issues that must be eradicated. Spiritual guidance and community-driven initiatives can bring about meaningful change.”
The event has witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees all across the country. The Ashram administration expects that the messages of blood donation, social service, and dowry-free marriage will resonate widely and drive measurable social change.
