Mumbai : Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre successfully served as the Official Medical Partner for the 8th IndianOil WNC Navy Half Marathon, held on 23rd November 2025, in Mumbai. Marking its 4th consecutive year of association, the hospital ensured robust medical readiness and comprehensive on-ground emergency support for over 20,000 runners participating in this iconic event.
Organised annually to celebrate Indian Navy Day on 4th December, the IndianOil WNC Navy Half Marathon has evolved into one of Mumbai’s most respected running events. Since its inception in 2016, the race has grown exponentially, uniting civilians and Naval personnel in a shared spirit of fitness, resilience, and patriotism. This year’s edition followed the marathon’s recent achievement of receiving the World Athletics Road Race Label, placing it among globally recognized races for its safety, accuracy, and organizational excellence.
As part of its medical preparation, Jaslok Hospital deployed trained doctors, nurses, paramedics, and support teams across the course, including the Base Camp, Recovery Unit, and strategically placed First Aid stations to ensure immediate, coordinated, and high-quality care. The hospital’s extensive experience, including its commendable zero-casualty record in previous years, played a key role in executing medical operations smoothly throughout the event.
Reflecting on the partnership, Dr. Milind Khadke, Medical Director, Jaslok Hospital, said:
“It is an honour for Jaslok Hospital to support this esteemed marathon for the fourth consecutive year. Our medical teams were fully prepared and worked with precision to ensure every participant felt safe and cared for. This event represents the spirit of unity and discipline, values we deeply resonate with.”
Speaking about on-ground preparedness, Dr. Pinank Pandya, Chief Intensivist & Race Medical Head, added:
“Managing medical support for an event of this scale requires collaborative effort and meticulous planning. With over 20,000 runners this year, our teams were strategically positioned to respond rapidly to any requirement. We are proud of the smooth operations and the quality of care delivered throughout the race despite heat and smog which are unfavourable conditions for running.”
Jaslok Hospital continues to uphold its commitment to community well-being by supporting initiatives that inspire healthier, stronger citizens. We are proud to stand with the IndianOil WNC Navy Half Marathon and look forward to many more years of collaboration.
