In Jammu and Kashmir, Amarnath yatra resumed from Nunwan Pahalgam at around 9.30 a.m. The yatra was temporarily suspended today at Pahalgam and Baltal due to bad weather and heavy rainfall. However, the yatra from Baltal remains suspended when reports last came in. Around 20 thousand yatries are waiting at the Baltal base camp waiting for the weather to improve so as to resume their yatra.
Meanwhile, the fourth batch of 2,303 pilgrims today left Jammu base camp for the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in South Kashmir Himalayas amid tight security arrangements.
