Bengaluru : Even Healthcare has successfully completed its first robotic knee replacement surgery at its newly launched hospital in Bengaluru, marking a key clinical milestone achieved within just six months of opening. The early adoption of this advanced capability reflects Even’s deliberate focus on building a technology-enabled, outcomes-led hospital model from the ground up.
Even’s hospital has been designed around precision tools, standardised clinical pathways, and data-led decision-making. The integration of robotic-assisted orthopaedics is a central component of this strategy, strengthening Even’s mission to deliver highly predictable, precision-driven care across specialties. The robotic program also lays the foundation for a broader roadmap of introducing advanced minimally invasive, AI-enabled, and high-accuracy surgical technologies across the hospital in the coming year.
Speaking about the milestone, Dr. Prashanth Nagaraj, Head of Orthopaedics at Even, said, “Introducing robotic-assisted knee replacement within months of launch demonstrates Even’s commitment to building a centre for surgical excellence from the ground up. At Even, our focus is on combining clinical expertise with advanced technology to deliver consistently superior outcomes. This milestone reflects how rapidly we are shaping a next-generation orthopaedic program founded on precision, safety, and truly patient-first care.”
Commenting on the surgery, Dr. Abrar Mohammed, Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon at Even said, “Robotic surgery is like having a GPS inside the operating room. It enhances accuracy, improves consistency, and ensures that every patient receives a personalised plan created specifically for their anatomy. Achieving this level of precision so early in Even’s journey shows how intentional the organisation is about building a future-ready surgical program.”
Robotic knee replacement is one of the most precise approaches available in orthopaedics today. Leveraging CT/MRI-based 3D mapping and a robotic-guided arm, the procedure enables exact bone cuts, personalised implant positioning, and highly predictable outcomes. This leads to smoother mobility, reduced pain, faster recovery, and enhanced long-term implant function particularly important for patients with complex deformities or alignment issues.
The milestone aligns with Even’s broader plan to build India’s most advanced, outcome-led hospital network powered by integrated clinical systems and next-generation health technologies. Even’s long-term strategy focuses on creating a network of hospitals built for accuracy, safety, and outcome reliability offering patients an experience where care quality is consistent across clinicians, locations, and conditions.
With this first robotic knee replacement, Even strengthens both its orthopaedic program and its hospital vision, reinforcing its commitment to redefining how surgical care and outcomes are delivered in India.
