After the heavy snowfall on the 23rd of this month in Himachal Pradesh, the weather has once again changed, and intermittent snowfall has been continuing in the higher regions of the state since last night. According to the Meteorological Department, fresh snowfall has been recorded in Gandla, Kukumseri, Kothi, Koksar, Hansa, Keylong, and Kalpa. This has also led to a drop in temperatures. Meanwhile, rain is also being reported in Chamba, Dharamshala, and the state capital, Shimla.
In view of the possibility of rain and snowfall, Kullu Deputy Commissioner Torul S. Ravish has ordered that all educational institutions in the Manali and Banjar subdivisions remain closed today. SP Kullu Madan Lal said that in case of bad weather and heavy snowfall, only four-wheel-drive vehicles will be allowed to travel towards Manali beyond Patlikuhal. The Meteorological Centre Shimla has issued an orange alert for heavy snowfall today in Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, and Kullu districts, while a yellow alert for rain has been issued for Kangra, Shimla, Mandi, Sirmaur, and Solan districts.
