Kanpur : i-merit, the flagship program of Scholars Merit Online Pvt. Ltd., has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kanpur Institute of Technology (KIT) to implement i-merit Nova courses as part of the i-merit Accelerate and Elevate programs. This collaboration will provide 500 students with a structured three-month (12-week) industry-aligned curriculum, aimed at enhancing their employability by equipping them with essential technical and soft skills.
The i-merit Nova program is designed to address the growing skill gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements. With the current job market demanding highly skilled professionals, the inclusion of these courses within KIT’s curriculum will help students prepare for real-world challenges. The courses will focus on hands-on learning, industry exposure, and practical skill-building to ensure students are job-ready upon graduation.
Speaking about the partnership, Sumit Shukla, CEO of Scholars Merit, stated:

This partnership with KIT is part of i-merit’s broader initiative to collaborate with over 100 institutions across India, equipping 50,000 students with industry-relevant skills by December 2025. This follows recent MoUs signed with SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Delhi NCR Campus, and Sri Sai Group of Institutes, further strengthening i-merit’s commitment to skill development and employment readiness.
