Noida: In an endeavor to promote the game of Handball in India, Genesis Global School, a premier day-cum-residential school in Noida, in association with the Uttar Pradesh Handball Association (UPHA) & Bonjour (the number one player in socks) today hosted the finals, of the 3rd South Asian Handball Championship in India, played between teams from India and Pakistan which commenced on March 23rd.

The association of Bonjour with 3rd South Asian Handball Championship provided Bonjour with a platform to promote & showcase their wonderful sports range of socks. Portraying excellent sportsmanship, the players of the Indian team registered a splendid victory in the final match. During the championship, a total of five teams from Afghanistan, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh & India competed against each other. The winning trophy was bagged by the Indian Team headed with a sweeping score of 36/31, wherein initially India and Pakistan struck a tie and eventually India won by 5 points.
The championship kick started with the first match played between Pakistan and Nepal, Pakistan being the winner. It was followed by the second match between India and Bangladesh where victory came India’s way. The Indian team has previously also won a Gold Medal in the Challenge Trophy in the year 2013, held in Nepal and proved its mettle. The teams presented a splendid show in the Final match too where India showed immense concentration and skills, showcasing the strength in their throw.
Senior officials of the Uttar Pradesh Handball Association and Genesis Global School honored the winning team and congratulated the coaches and their teams for their hard work and great performance.
