New Delhi : The Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) today announces its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW).
As India plans to double its installed wind capacity to 100 GW by 2030, IWTMA and CEEW have joined hands to develop strategies to position India as a global hub for wind turbines and wind turbine components manufacturing and exports, paving the way for large-scale wind deployment and integration of on-shore and off-shore wind. The collaboration will leverage IWTMA’s industry leadership and CEEW’s policy and analytical expertise and bring key stakeholders to foster deliberations on the role of wind in India’s energy transition.

Wind turbine and component manufacturing will place India as the major global manufacturing hub for the wind sector, furthering the “Make in India” vision of our Prime Minister to create an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
