“On National Pollution Control Day, it is important to recognise responsibilities the construction industry carries in shaping a cleaner and healthier city. Across upcoming projects in Pune region, CREDAI Pune has been educating and motivating members to follow pollution control measures & developer members are consciously adopting stronger pollution-control measures – from mechanised dust-suppression, wheel-wash systems and covered material transport to 35-feet barricading and on-site air-quality monitoring mandated by PMC. Many projects now use M-Sand, follow responsible debris management and implement restricted work timings to minimise disturbance to nearby communities. We are also seeing a strong shift towards greener construction, with developers embracing IGBC and solar-ready designs, low-carbon materials and sustainable township-level planning that prioritises open spaces and green cover. These steps, combined with closer coordination with government authorities, are helping significantly reduce dust emissions, improve compliance and promote better environmental care across Pune’s development corridors. At CREDAI Pune, we believe that urban growth and environmental care must move together. Our industry remains committed to building a more sustainable, progressive and healthier city for every citizen.”
