Trivandrum-based luxury business hotel O by Tamara announces a Thai food festival at its all-day dining restaurant O’Café from July 29th to August 7th. The festival will be spearheaded by renowned Thai chef Vina, who in her close three decade career has worked in Bangkok, South Africa, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Maldives, South Korea, Istanbul and Turkey. She also owns a few restaurants globally. Chef Vina is currently based in Bangalore where she runs a takeaway kitchen.
Speaking on the upcoming Thai food festival that she will be at the helm of, Chef Vina says, “It is a pleasure to be in the city of Trivandrum and bring my food to its people. I strongly believe in the adage that food merely for the body is not enough, there has to be food for the soul. This is what I hope my food brings to my diners here in God’s Own Country”.
Chef Vina’s signature dishes include the classic Phad Thai (a typical Thai stir-fried rice noodles dish), Pad See Ew (a soy-based flat rice noodles stir-fry) and Larb Gai (a spicy stir-fried Thai chicken salad. Also on a rotational basis will be Thai dishes like steamed fish, a range of stir-fries, Massaman curries and more. The festival will also offer Thai-inspired and Thai ingredient-based mocktails.
Sawatdee / Gin Hai Aroy Na, the Thai food festival will be running at O’ Café from July 29th to August 7th and will be available for dinner buffets only. The buffet is priced at INR 1899++ per person. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 will be charged INR 1200++.
