Meiningers International Spirits Award, (ISW), Germany, one of the world’s most prestigious spirits award, recognised DeVANS GianChand Manshaa, with a Grand Gold. Out of 450 spirits, only 11 received this honour. DeVANS GianChand Manshaa, the only Indian Whisky to receive this honour was also bestowed the most fiercely contested, Best International Whisky of the Year honour, surpassing all entries from top whisky-producing countries like Scotland, Ireland, America, Germany etc. GianChand Manshaa truly shone this year, highlighting the quality and sophistication that Indian spirits are now showcasing on the world stage.
DeVANS GianChand Manshaa, the latest expression from DeVANS, is the first peated single malt from the company. The expression has captured the attention of the international jury, who were impressed with Manshaa for its “long medicinal peat smoke, perfectly framed by citrus and spicy flavours” The single malt has also been praised by noted international expert and author of Whisky Bible, Jim Murray who stated, “such a charming smokiness, with peat in sparkling form”
