  • Gulf Air Launches First Flight to Trivandrum International Airport

    Manama, Bahrain   : Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, today launched its first flightto Trivandrum International Airport,commencing its operations of five weekly flights between Bahrain and TRV airport ribbon cuttingThiruvananthapuram in India. GF060 took off from Bahrain International Airport at 0245 landing in Trivandrum International Airport at 0950.The return flight GF061 departed Trivandrum International Airport at 1045, landing in Bahrain International Airport at 1310. Both flights operated at full capacity.

The addition of Thiruvananthapuram to our network supplements the airline’sproduct offering, increasing customerconvenience – which is our ultimate goal.Importantly, with both our first inbound and outbound flights operating at full capacity it is clear that we are meeting passenger demand – we are starting as we mean to go on!”A.Hussain A.Rahman Hussain, Gulf Air Country Manager, Indiacommented at the event.

    India is one of the key markets for Gulf Air and the airline shares a historical relationship with the country spanning over 40 years – with the first flight to Mumbai inaugurated in November 1971. Gulf Air recently introduced brand new Airbus A321 aircraft into India which are equipped with the latest in-flight entertainment technology and fully-flat beds in Falcon Gold class. With the new addition of Trivandrum, Gulf Air now flies to five Indian destinations.
