  • First time in history of Kumbh Mela: Helicopter view, Laser shows and Luxury Accommodation Awaits Pilgrims at Kumbh 2019: Website launched by Tourism minister UP

    Lucknow: With the aim of providing luxurious living and once in lifetime experience to pilgrims visiting Maha Kumbh in 2019, the UPSTDC (Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation) and Hitkari Productions & Creations (a company specializing in high-end events) in association with Davik Consummate Services, have introduced Indraprastham- City of Eternity, first time in the history of Kumbh Mela. The eternal tent city will offer privacy and convenience for individuals, families, and small groups visiting Kumbh 2019. The official website of this experience-driven entity, which will facilitate the bookings of the tents and villas for the travelerswww.kumbhtentcity.com, was launched today during an event held at Renaissance Hotel, Lucknow. 

     

    Under the aegis of “Indraprastham- City of Eternity”, the tourists will get to choose across a range of spacious and luxurious tents and villas categorized as Atri (Deluxe), Angirasa (Super Deluxe), and Gautama (Suite), the rental costs of these tents starts from ₹10,000 per day. The prototype of the tented accommodation was also demonstrated today at the event. 

     

    Launching the official website for booking, Smt. Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Hon’ble Tourism Minister, Uttar Pradesh said, “This time Kumbh mela is special, Helicopter views/lazer shows/ luxury accomodation and much more for the pilgrims visiting Kumbh 2019.  it is a part of an extensive society that reflects the glory of our nations ancient values and Sanatana Dharma.  There is a massive footfall of tourists and pilgrims in our state every time Kumbh is organized. In 2019 as well as in the consecutive years to come, we are hoping to provide a better and advanced experience for the visitors, and will put in best efforts to ensure convenience and safety for everyone.”

     

    Unveiling the prototype of the tent Shri Awanish Kumar Awasthi, IAS Addl, Chief Secretary & DG, Tourism, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh saidWith the roll-out of Indraprastam- City of Eternity, expectations are skyrocketing as Kumbh evolves into a truly global event. We are hopeful that this auspicious extravaganza will have a positive impact on the overall tourism scenario of our state. The state government expects a massive footfall of 15 crore pilgrims this time in Kumbh 2019.
