  • Over 13 thousand pilgrims pay obeisance at Holy Cave on day 3rd of Amarnath yatra

    On the 3rd day of the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra, over 13 thousand 800 (13,835) Yatris paid obeisance at the Holy Cave today.

    Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB) sources said that over 33 thousand 600 (33,694) Yatris had the darshan of the Shivling at the Holy Cave, since the start of Yatra.

    Meanwhile, on the directions of Governor Satya Pal Malik, Chairman Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, four sick pilgrims were evacuated by air.

    Official sources said that one yatri (Pawan Kumar Gupta of Fatehpur, UP)  was airlifted from Panjtarni and referred to Medical Hospital Pahalgam for treatment while as three others ( Prabhu Kumar of Ludhiana , Balwinder Singh of Chandigarh and Diksha Arora of Moga) were airlifted from Sheshnag.

    The 46 Yatra commenced on Monday July 01 and will conclude on August 15 coinciding with Raksha Bandhan and Shravan Purnima.
