Junglee Games, one of India’s largest gaming companies, today announced that the company has achieved year-on-year growth of 80% to 100% since its launch in 2012. The company, which currently has a user base of 25 million, aims to reach 40-50 million users by the end of FY 2019-2020.

Home to a plethora of engaging games, Junglee Games is the fastest-growing skill-gaming platform in the world. Junglee Rummy, the flagship game of the company, is very popular with Indian consumers as this card game is familiar to them and has been part of their childhood memories or family tradition. Most of the players who play Junglee Rummy hail from the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.

The online Real Money Gaming (RMG) market in India is estimated to be worth around ₹2,200 crores, and its growth rate is pegged at 30% per annum. In India, online Rummy has a huge share of the gaming market, followed by fantasy sports and poker respectively. A skill-based game, Rummy has seen tremendous growth in its online variant in recent years.

Commenting on the popularity of the company, Ankush Gera, Founder and CEO of Junglee Games said, “From 2013 to 2019, we’ve close to doubled in revenues and headcount every year. The company has seen positive exponential growth year on year because of the huge response and engagement we have garnered from our users. This is the result of our users’ love for us and the trust they have placed in us.”

“We also welcome the fact that Rummy is being recognized by consumers not just as a game of mere entertainment and chance but as a game of skill. We are very excited to launch new skill-based games this year that don’t exist in the market today. Not only will it change the status quo in the market, but also challenge us to attract a new segment of players. Similarly, on the company side, we are expanding our team to build a leading skill-based gaming platform of the world,” added Ankush Gera.

Founded in 2012, the company operates from San Francisco and Delhi, and has teams in San Francisco, Hong Kong, India, Vancouver, Argentina, and Poland.
