ROCKLAND, MA:  Hawks Lacrosse, Eastern Massachusetts’s premier club lacrosse program and academy, today announced Buddy Carr as Offensive Skills Coordinator for Hawks Lacrosse.

In this role, Carr assists lacrosse players progress their skills by providing a wide range of drills, best practices and techniques to heighten their skill levels.

Carr, who has played lacrosse “as long as I can remember,” credits his love of the sport to his father, Kelley Carr, who played lacrosse at the University of Massachusetts and went on to play for the Boston Blazers.

“I had a stick in my hand at a very young age and played youth lacrosse at every age growing up before high school,” said Carr, who holds a Bachelor’s in Sports Management from UMass – Amherst and a Master’s in Management from Durham University in Durham, England.

He played varsity lacrosse at Exeter High School in New Hampshire and was on the lacrosse team throughout his four years at UMass and the one-year master’s program at Durham University in the U.K.  Carr’s many achievements as a student athlete include high school All American; college 1st Team All-CAA (Colonial Athletic Association); 2nd Team All-New England; CAA Conference champion; and participation in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

When not on the field as Hawks Lacrosse offensive skills coordinator, Carr is an inside sales representative with Dell EMC and participates in many of the company’s volunteer programs.

He is a member of US Lacrosse, UMass Men’s Laxbackers, Exeter High School Alumni Association and the Durham University Alumni Association.

Originally from Exeter, New Hampshire, Carr now lives in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and in his spare time enjoys waterskiing in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter.

“Buddy is an amazing asset to the Hawks LaCrosse family,” said Orcutt.  “His knowledge of the sport of lacrosse, demonstrated skill and ability to inspire players to improve and strengthen is outstanding.”
