  • Donation from long-time supporter an increase from last year

MARSHFIELD and SOUTH SHORE: Road to Responsibility (RTR; http://roadtoresponsibility.org), one of the region’s largest and most successful nonprofit organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is pleased to announce it has received a $25,000 grant from the Pilgrim Bank Foundation (https://www.pilgrimbankfoundation.org/), directed to general operating support.

This donation is an increase from the foundation’s gift of $20,000 received in 2020.  Pilgrim Bank Foundation has been a longstanding supporter of the mission of Road to Responsibility, having also served as a consistent sponsor for the annual Making Lives Better Gala.

The mission of the Pilgrim Bank Foundation is to provide financial support to charitable and community service organizations in the communities throughout the South Shore and South Coast of Massachusetts.  The foundation is dedicated to community activities and promotion of charitable causes.

“Pilgrim Bank’s increased commitment to Road to Responsibility, and in support of general operations, is so extremely helpful,” said Christopher White, Ed. D., CEO of Road to Responsibility.  “Throughout the last 13 months, we have kept the health and safety of our staff and individuals as the highest priority.  To do so included a variety of unanticipated expenses for additional PPE and cleaning supplies, among other items.  Having this infusion of financial support to sustain these efforts – and keep other operating procedures running smoothly – lets us keep our focus on the individuals we serve.

“We extend our sincerest gratitude to Pilgrim Bank Foundation,” White added.
