Mumbai:  Yas Island, one of the world’s leading leisure and entertainment destinations, in collaboration with the U.S. Mission to the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Department of Culture and Tourism will welcome the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters to Abu Dhabi on 31 October at Etihad Arena.

Showcasing the best in U.S. culture and entertainment, the Harlem Globetrotters are an American exhibition basketball team featuring the exhilarating Spread Game Tour which combines athleticism, theatre and comedy. As part of the Yas Island’s ‘Yas for 50’ celebrations to mark the UAE’s Golden Jubilee, tickets to this family-fun-filled event are only AED 50.

Held at the Etihad Arena, the region’s largest indoor multi-purpose venue, the Harlem Globetrotters combine basketball wizardry with lively crowd interaction, making it suitable for sports fans of all ages. As international favourites, the team has played more than 26,000 exhibition games in 124 countries and territories. Their performance, called ‘Spread Game’, mixes ankle-breaking moves, jaw-dropping swag, and slam-dunks.

To the delight of spectators, this three-hour show will begin with a warm-up act, the team’s signature song of Brother Bones’ whistled version of “Sweet Georgia Brown.” Next, their mascot “Globie” will usher in the Spread Game Tour with a mixture of sport and comedy making this entertaining performance an experience like no other.
