  • The automobile industry is booming in India with each passing year. Among many automaker giants, Tata Motors has cemented its position as one of the leading brands in the Indian market. The brand is said to be the largest electric car marker in India, and it has reported a Year-on-Year (YoY) sales growth of 185%. With a sale of 43,341 units in May 2022, Tata Motors became the second highest-selling carmaker in the country dethroning Hyundai Motor India.

While Hyundai Motor India remained the undisputed second highest-selling carmaker till December 2021, Tata Motors raced ahead with its sales of 41,587 units in April this year. However, Maruti Suzuki has been crowned the number one position in India with approximately 40% of the market share. As Tata Motors jumps to the second position, Mumbai-based car dealer and entrepreneur Karan Asrani shares his views about the same.
The CEO of Krishna Group who has an association with Tata Motors is quite overwhelmed with the carmaker taking the second position in India. Besides this, Krishna Group has associated with other automobile giants like Mahindra & Mahindra, Mahindra First Choice and My TVS. Mr. Asrani foresees that Tata Motors will have a dream run in terms of sales for the next two years as the carmaker has an interesting line-up of models like Nexon, Tigor, Tiago, Punch, Harrier, Altroz and Safari.

Speaking about it, Karan Asrani said, “Tata Motors upgrades its line-up of models under the exclusive Forever New Campaign. With the recently launched the new Kaziranga edition of Nexon, the company brings new variants for customers. These varied choices give customers a sea of options to buy the car of their choice.” In addition, the entrepreneur feels that Tata Motors will take the top spot in the coming time.

Well, it is very much possible with the line-up of cars that Tata Motors has to offer in the Electric Vehicles segment. Moreover, as per the news, the company had recently signed an MOU with Ford India to acquire its plant in Sanand. With the launch of new vehicles in the pipeline, Karan Asrani concluded by stating that there will be an upward trend in sales which will boost the position of Tata Motors in the Indian market.
