  • United States: Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced that it has signed lease agreements for 10 additional twin-aisle aircraft.

    “These twin-aisle lease placements fit ALC’s growth plan which includes broadening our global customer base and fleet with a prudent, measured quantity of new or young high demand A330-200/300 and 777-300ER twin-aisle aircraft,” said John L. Plueger, President and Chief Operating Officer of Air Lease Corporation.

    The Airbus A330-200, A330-300, and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft were placed as follows:

    ALC and Vietnam Airlines have entered into lease agreements through 2019 covering two new A330-200s delivering in October and November 2011.

    ALC acquired an A330-200 (MSN 1138) on lease to Sichuan Airlines through 2022.

    KLM and ALC have entered into a lease agreement through 2020 for a new A330-300 scheduled for delivery in February 2012.

    Air France leased a Boeing 777-300ER (MSN 35542) from ALC through 2019; this follows a new Boeing 777-300ER leased to Air France by ALC which delivered in December 2010.

    ALC and Alitalia have entered into 12 year lease agreements for three new A330-200 aircraft delivering in April, May, and September 2011.

    Air Austral leased a new Boeing 777-300ER from ALC on lease through 2019.

    Hawaiian Airlines has signed a 12 year lease for a new A330-200 from ALC delivering mid 2012.

    ALC acquired a Boeing 777-300ER (MSN 35254) on lease to Air Canada through 2021.
