Mumbai :  Celebrating the spirit of Mumbai and the passion of filmmaking, the Mumbai Film Festival has announced its 15th edition scheduled to be held from the 17th to 24th of October 2013. Adding a new element to the festival, the 15th Mumbai Film Festival has partnered with Talenthouse India as its online partner to crowdsource movies from young and aspiring filmmakers for the Dimensions Mumbai competition.

Aspiring filmmakers who are residents of Mumbai and are below the age of 25 are invited to create a movie that truly reflects the essence of the city by the sea. Getting tech savvy with its 15th edition, participants can now log on to http://www.talenthouse.com/mami-2013 and submit their movies by the 31st August 2013.

Limiting each movie to maximum of 5 minutes each, all entries will be previewed by a selection panel to be recommended for the competition. A jury will see the selected short films and announce the winners. The winning films will bag the Silver Gateway trophies and cash prize of Rs.1, 00,000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively on the 24th of October 2013.

Speaking on this initiative Mr. Srinivasan Narayanan, Director, Mumbai Film Festival said, “Filmmaking is a gift and this competition is thrown open to budding directors who are in search of the right platform. Our association with Talenthouse as the online partner is to ensure budding talent across our city is made accessible this opportunity.”
