The Department of Physiotherapy, Royal School of Medical and Allied Sciences today, conducted a guest lecture on Basics of ECG by Dr. Amal Sarma, Divisional Medical Officer, Anaesthesia and Critical Care, Railway Hospital, Lumding, for the students and faculty of various departments of the school.
Simultaneously, Royal School of Pharmacy organized an Awareness Program on Rare Disease Day, in association with NSS-RGU on this year’s theme of ‘Achieving true equity for 300 million people across the world who live with a rare condition’. The esteemed Resource Person for the event Dr. Ujjal Chakravarty, General and Laparoscopic Surgeon, East End Nursing Home and Research, emphasized on impacting lives of those affected by rare diseases by showing our stripes, raising awareness, supporting research and fostering inclusivity, in this interactive session.
Further, a Community Outreach Program was organised by Royal School of Business in Association with JCI Guwahati Pathfinders. Royalites visited Nirzapara Adarsha ME School and engaged the young students in a number of activities including -Drawing, Dancing Competition, Sports amongst others, apart from donating seven fans. The students were also gifted school stationery and a free Dental and Eye checkup camp was organized for them.
