Hyderabad: Hydourite, an initiative celebrating the spirit of Hyderabad with ‘100 days of celebrations’ is back with its season 2 programs. Disclosing this addressing a press conference here in city at Hotel Minerva Grand, Secunderabad the people behind Hydourite Mr. Achanta V. Ramakrishna, Manoj Chandrasekhar and Capt. Anand said beginning August 15th, the 100 Days celebration will kick off with New Delhi based Ability Unlimited Foundation’s Dance Theatre Performance on wheelchairs here in city at Shilpakalavedika, Madhapur. It will conclude with New Life—a unique fusion band led by ace percussionist Sivamani with world Percussions & Jazz with Sufi, Ghazals and Indian Classical Music on November 23rd, 2013.

Giving details about the first program Achanta V. Ramakrishna said Known for their extraordinary talents and performances Ability Unlimited Foundation (AUF)effectively makes persons with disabilities (PWD) to lead independent and innovative lives. An excellent performance by the differently-abled, this 100 Day Hydourite Festival kicks off with this performance which is first-of-its-kind in the world. It is an internationally acclaimed performance that moved many. And has set Guinness World Record and Limca Book of World Records. Ability Unlimited Foundation is the only organisation in the word to innovate and present world famous performances on wheel-chairs, It is beyond Bollywood and Hollywood.

Ability Unlimited is brain child of Guru Syed Sallauddin Pasha, revered as ‘Father of Indian Therapeutic Theatre for persons with disabilities”. Guru Pasha is a recipient of national Award from the President of India for outstanding performances in the field of empowerment of persons with disabilities and a world record holder who’s in the ‘Limca Book of World Records’ and Guinness World Records for creating 100 dance theatre productions and 10,000 performance by persons with disabilities across the globe.
A specially composed signature tune will be unveiled on 15th August at Shilpakalavedika. An upcoming and talented IT professional-cum-Music Composer Ashwin Palaparthi has especially composed a composition for the event. Minerva Grand Hotels, Hyderabad’s premium business boutique hotels, is the hospitality sponsor for the Ability Unlimited Foundation’s performance on 15th Augustat Shilpakalavedika.

In five years from now, we will make this event grow much beyond anybody’s expectation and it would be one such event people will eagerly look forward to. We will make it a signature annual event for the city. We made a humble beginning last year. Nearly 30,000 Hyderabadis attended our events last year. This year the magnitude of the event has gone up. Nearly 50,000 audiences are expected to grace our events, informed Ramakrishna.

Hydourite means ‘Our Hyderabad, Our Favourite’. Hydourite which is in its second year celebrates the spirit of Hyderabad and will have ‘100 days of celebrations’ with various kinds of events woven around the spirit of Hyderabad,added Mr. Manoj.

Stating further Manoj added that Hydourite has been conceived to get together all the Hyderabad loving people on to a single platform, to feel the rich diversity of this great city through various events and thereby feel proud of being a Hyderabadi. Hydourite, as part of its 100 Days of Celebrations, will create and present various events woven around the spirit of Hyderabad.  A spirit which reverberates –‘Me and My Hyderabad’.

 

Kicked off in 2012, this is the second year for Hydourite. It is the vision of the organizers to make Hydourite synonymous to Hyderabad, similar to what Kala Ghoda Art Festival to Mumbai; ‘Bengaluru Habba’ – the spirit of bringing Bengaluru together through the arts to Bengaluru; Sunburn, an electronic dance music festival to Goa; Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF) to Jodhpur and Konark Dance and Music Festival to Konark.

Giving more details about the series of events, Capt. Anand said many favourite hotels in city will play host to exquisite performances from varied fields of art, dance, music, theatre and much more. Some of these include Satirical Comic Play Love on the Brink; World Fusion Music performance by Prem Joshua & Band; Indo Jazz Fusion “Ravi Chary Crossing”; an epic Dance Drama by Padmasri Shobana; Vibrations by Pt. Ronu Majumdar; Samarpan—musical offering by many youthful master musicians; Sapthakshara-a Mélange of South Indian Classical Percussion; Anya’s Dasha-Avataara—a collaboration of artists from different media forms; Swaratham—Folk-Rock Music; Piya Behroopiya-a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, etc.

Hydourite-2012 was organised by KPMA, a company into publishing and creative project implementations which recently published the international coffe table book ‘Trailblazers Hyderabad’, and MIRA Events, a complete marketing communication analysis, planning and implementation services provider. Hydourite is a brand jointly owned by KPMA and MIRA Events. These two companies had come together to take the spirit of Hyderabad to greater heights.
