  • Students of FORE School of Management, Delhi, Dedicate a Day to Senior Citizens

    New Delhi: FORE School of Management, one of the premier Management Institutes in India, organized its annual event ‘ABHIWADAN’ – A day dedicated to senior citizens – on February 1, 2011. Team ANTAR, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee at FORE School of Management, in association with HelpAge India and Art of Living managed the event.

    Senior citizens from ‘Gharaunda’ and ‘Home for Aged’ at Fatehpur Beri were invited to college and the students spent valuable time providing them a homely experience and entertainment. The day was made enjoyable through songs, dance performances and entertaining games organized by the students.

    The day was made all the more memorable by dances and on the spot performances by the senior citizens. There was also a 45 minutes session hosted by Art of Living team where the senior citizens were introduced to basic breathing exercises to remain healthy and fit. The senior citizens were also gifted mementos and posters. The event was a huge success as it spread happiness and smiles on the faces of elderly people.

    “The learning experience extends far beyond the four walls of the classroom. ABHIWADAN is our effort to inculcate a realistic and enjoyable experience for us to mix with the society and gain from their experiences” said Namrata, student coordinator FORE School of Management Delhi.

    “Our objective is to create awareness among individuals as each one of us is a stake holder in the process of building society.” said Dr. Jitendra Das, Director, FORE School of Management, Delhi.
