New Delhi: Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV (“AB InBev”) today announced the appointment of Mr. Pedro Aidar as the Business Unit President for the BU India, consisting of India and other South Asian Countries, following completion of the recommended business combination with SABMiller plc (“SABMiller”). This announcement follows the recent global announcement on August 4th of the intended organizational structure, leadership team and other key appointments for the combined group.

Mr. Aidar has been with AB InBev for over 15 years. He previously held the position of Vice President Finance for APAC region based out of Shanghai, after which he moved to India last year as he was appointed President for the Business Unit India South East Asia. “The combination of SABMiller and AB InBev businesses in India is extremely complementary, resulting in a portfolio of local and global brands spanning the different segments of the local beer market. The two companies are privileged with great human talent able to drive robust growth in our joint operations in the years to come. The beverage industry in India represents a fantastic business opportunity and I am personally very excited about the prospects of our new combined group”, Mr. Aidar said.

The new Business Unit India would be headquartered in Bangalore and reporting into Jan Craps, Zone President for Asia Pacific South, based out of Melbourne, Australia.

All of the above-mentioned changes related to the structure and leadership of the combined group are conditional upon, and would be implemented following, the successful completion of the recommended business combination, which we anticipate would occur on 10 October 2016, and with due respect for applicable legal and works council considerations and consultation requirements.
